JUMPS AND COURSES / v0.7 / 2026-10-14

BASELINE PRESERVATION
The accepted v0.6 setup and its flat 47.616 m Loop remain available as The Loop /
Flat. The original baseline ZIP is unchanged. Thirteen trajectory checkpoints
from that immutable build compare x/y, velocity, heading/yaw, wheel speeds, loads,
slips, steering, and ESC commands to within 1e-7. All pass, including lift-off,
cornering, reverse, and barrier contacts. Forward torque and top speed are unchanged.

NEW COURSES
The Loop / Small jumps: same accepted geometry, with two tabletops, 10 and 12 cm.
Pine Beach / Inspired: 66.189 m, 2.1 m wide, two 10-12 cm tabletops.
Vegas Vintage / Inspired: 77.396 m, 2.1 m wide, three 10-14 cm tabletops.
The default on first v0.7 load is the Loop with jumps; later loads remember the
selected course. All use the accepted high-grip setup, including the brown-colored
courses. Color indicates visual character only, not an altered tire coefficient.

TRACK REFERENCES
These are original course designs inspired by broad venue characteristics. They
are not surveyed replicas, traced video layouts, or claims of exact race geometry.

Pine Beach's organizer describes a compact course with short straights winding
between protected pine trees. The interpretation uses linked bends and short
straights while keeping room for the accepted 2.1 m lanes.

Team Associated's official 2025 event announcement identifies the Orleans in
Las Vegas and a large indoor arena. The interpretation uses longer straights,
a rounded infield and modest tabletops. It is separate from VRC's Las Vegas 2016
IFMAR track. Official mains footage is a reference for future visual comparison;
no jump dimensions or trajectories were measured from it for this release.

JUMP MODEL
The course height field is shared by the renderer and physics. Contact on an
incline changes normal load and adds gravity along the slope. On leaving a lip,
vertical velocity carries into gravity-driven flight. Tires exert no steering or
propulsive contact force in the air; driven wheels still accelerate and brake.
Landing removes normal impact energy and reestablishes ground contact. Airborne
pitch reaction is approximate and intended as an initial driving cue.
The flat surface follows the original code path. This is not a four-wheel shock,
chassis collision, or rollover model. Horizontal lane containment remains active
in the air; jumping over a low barrier into runoff is not simulated yet.

VIEW AND CONTROLS
A fixed lower stand angle gives height and depth cues without rotating the driver's
steering reference. C toggles overhead; +/- changes zoom. F or Fullscreen opens an
uncluttered driving view; F/Escape exits. Pause and reset remain visible fullscreen.
Changing course resets laps and reverse arming, pauses, and preserves setup and
controller calibration. The accepted baseline remains a separate selectable course.

VALIDATION
All 62 simulation checks pass. This includes 4 immutable v0.6 baseline checks,
5 course/geometry checks (with 4,272 barrier contacts), and 10 jump checks.
Browser verification: all four courses load; selection pauses and resets laps;
modified setup survives course change and Reset car; Restore baseline restores
the accepted values; lower stand and overhead views fit the courses; fullscreen
enters and exits using the button/F, keeping pause/reset controls visible; the
Loop's first tabletop produces visible airtime and shadow separation. No browser
console errors were reported. jump-study-v07.png records the final driving view.
The new jump feel has not yet received the user's physical NB4 driving feedback.
